WHO Myanmar Library is located at the WHO Country Office for Myanmar on the 12A floor of Traders Hotel, Sule Pagoda Read, Yangon, Myanmar. The library serves the information needs of WHO staff members and policy makers, researchers, scientists and health professionals in Myanmar. It functions as the primary source of WHO information for Myanmar and Myanmar Health information for the WHO. The Library also advocates, promotes and supports health information management and dissemination activities in Myanmar through National Health Literature, Library and Information Services (HELLIS) network. Collections of WHO Myanmar Library can be searched by simply typing your search words into the search box above and click at "Go". World Health Day 2010 Celebrations at Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
Myanmar celebrates World Health Day 2010 at the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw on April 7, 2010. The ceremony was inaugurated by H. E. Professor Paing Soe, Deputy Minister of Health, Government of Myanmar. Dignitaries from the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization Country Office for Myanmar, together with invited guests attended the celebration. |

A Workshop on management and dissemination of Disaster Health Information in WHO South-East Asia Region was organized on 15 - 25 November, 2009 at the Gran Melia Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The workshop was attended by Emergency and Humanitarian Action specialists from WHO SEAR Member States, National HELLIS librarians and WHO staff members in the region. Mrs Marla Win and Miss Ohnmar Myint from WHO Myanmar office participated in the workshop. The workshop laid down foundations on identification, selection, processing, archoval and dissemination of disaster health information in the region. |
